Description

Spinach Dip Cheese Crisps are a deliciously cheesy, low-carb snack perfect for appetizers or a crunchy dipper. Combining mozzarella, Parmesan, spinach, and a hint of garlic and onion powder, these crisps bake to golden perfection with a satisfying crisp texture and savory flavor. Ideal for those following gluten-free, vegetarian, or keto diets, they offer an easy and quick snack that is both flavorful and wholesome.

Ingredients

Scale

Cheese Blend

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream

Vegetables and Seasonings

  • 1/2 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, thawed and squeezed spinach, softened cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated into a cohesive mixture.
  3. Form Crisps: Using a tablespoon, scoop the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, placing each dollop at least 2 inches apart. Flatten each mound slightly to form small discs that will crisp evenly during baking.
  4. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 13 minutes, or until the crisps have golden edges and the centers are bubbly, indicating the cheese is melted through.
  5. Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and allow the crisps to cool on the baking sheet for 5 to 10 minutes. This resting time helps them firm up and become extra crispy. Serve warm as a snack, appetizer, or with your favorite dip.

Notes

  • For an extra burst of flavor, consider adding chopped artichoke hearts or a pinch of crushed red pepper to the mixture.
  • These crisps are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
