Ingredients
Scale
Salmon Bites
- 1 lb salmon fillet (skinless, cut into bite-sized cubes)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Garlic Cream Sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Salmon Bites: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. In a bowl, toss the salmon cubes with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and dried thyme until evenly coated. Spread the salmon bites out on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake the Salmon Bites: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and slightly crispy on the edges.
- Prepare the Garlic Cream Sauce: While the salmon is baking, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant and lightly golden. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens (about 3-5 minutes). Add the lemon juice and season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
- Combine and Serve: Once the salmon bites are done, transfer them to a serving plate. Drizzle the garlic cream sauce over the salmon bites. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Make sure not to overbake the salmon to keep the bites tender and moist.
- The sauce can be made a little ahead of time and gently reheated before serving.
- For a lighter option, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half, but the sauce will be less rich.
- Fresh parsley adds a nice color and fresh flavor; you can also use chives or dill.
- Serve with rice, steamed vegetables, or crusty bread for a complete meal.
