Ingredients
Scale
Garlic Butter
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Steak
- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (8-10 oz each), at room temperature
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for brushing
Shrimp
- 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat the grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat to ensure it’s ready for cooking the steaks and shrimp evenly.
- Prepare the garlic butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside.
- Season and oil the steaks: Generously season both sides of the steaks with salt and pepper. Lightly brush both sides with olive oil to prevent sticking and enhance grilling.
- Season the shrimp: Season the peeled and deveined shrimp with salt and pepper. Set aside.
- Grill the steaks and shrimp: Place the steaks and shrimp on the preheated grill. Grill steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare or adjust for your preferred doneness. Grill shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Brush with garlic butter: During the last few minutes of grilling, generously brush the steaks and shrimp with the prepared garlic butter mixture, flipping once to coat both sides.
- Rest the steaks: Remove the steaks and shrimp from the grill and place them on a serving platter. Let the steaks rest for a few minutes to retain their juices.
- Serve: Drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the sliced steak and shrimp. Garnish with additional chopped parsley and lemon wedges if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
- Allow the steaks to come to room temperature before grilling for even cooking.
- Adjust grilling times based on steak thickness and shrimp size.
- Use fresh garlic and parsley for the best flavor in the garlic butter.
- Resting the steak after grilling allows the juices to redistribute for a juicy bite.
- Serve with a side of grilled vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
